Natasha was on WWLP talking about how the ongoing wet weather has exacerbated the mosquito problem this summer. She noted there are lots of different repellants local residents can use to keep mosquitoes away, but the most common one is 30 percent DEET. Protection is essential as The Massachusetts Department of Public Health confirmed recently that a sample of mosquitoes in Pittsfield, Worcester, Brookline and West Springfield tested positive for West Nile Virus.
